Agreement to Terms

By accessing this website or engaging the services of The Lifestylist Sydney, operated by Jacqueline Yates ("practitioner", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or our services.

Nature of Services

The Lifestylist Sydney offers holistic counselling, reiki, pranic therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy techniques, and related wellbeing services. These services are complementary in nature and are not a substitute for medical diagnosis, psychiatric care, or emergency mental health services.

Nothing provided on this website or during sessions should be construed as medical advice. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact Lifeline on 13 11 14 or your nearest emergency department immediately.

Eligibility

Our services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. Where services are provided to minors, written consent from a parent or guardian is required prior to commencement. We reserve the right to decline or discontinue services at our professional discretion.

Appointments and Cancellations

• Session bookings are confirmed upon receipt of a booking confirmation from us.
• We require a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
• Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the session fee, except in cases of genuine emergency.
• Repeated no-shows may result in a requirement to prepay future sessions.

Fees and Payment

Session fees are disclosed at the time of booking. Fees are subject to change with reasonable notice. Payment is due at the time of the session unless a prior arrangement has been agreed in writing.

We do not currently bulk-bill or process Medicare claims. Some health funds may cover a portion of our services — please check directly with your insurer.

Confidentiality

All information shared during sessions is held in strict confidence in accordance with professional ethical standards and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Exceptions to confidentiality include:

• Where disclosure is required by law.
• Where there is a serious and imminent risk of harm to you or another person.
• Where you provide explicit written consent to share information.

These limits to confidentiality will be explained to you before we begin working together.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, video, and design, is owned by or licensed to The Lifestylist Sydney and is protected by Australian and international copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our written permission, except for personal, non-commercial reference.

Website Use

You agree not to use this website in any way that is unlawful, harmful, or disruptive. We reserve the right to restrict access to any person who misuses the contact form, submits spam, or engages in abusive behaviour toward us or our representatives.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, The Lifestylist Sydney is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from use of our website or services. Our liability for any claim is limited to the fee paid for the specific session or service to which the claim relates.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any guarantee, warranty, or right you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded by law.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our website or services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The current version will always be available at this URL.
